Welcome to the 50-Day Prayer Journey with Deaf Bible Society! We are so excited that you will be joining us.
This week we will begin by praying for the 70 million Deaf people who have not yet been engaged with the Gospel. Please join us in praying that they will be exposed to God’s Word in their own language!

Ephesians 2:12 “Remember that at that time you were separated from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel & foreigners to the covenants of promise, without hope & without God in the World.”
Dear Lord, I pray for _______________ who is/are separated from Christ and Your promises. May they become people with a hope who are part of Your family.
Acts 26:18 “...Open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.”
Please, open _______________ ’s eyes and turn _______________ from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that _______________ may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified (set apart) by faith in Christ.
Ephesians 3:17b-19 “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.”
Dear Lord, I pray for _______________ that they may begin to learn how wide and long and high and deep Your love is, and that knowing that will draw them to faith in You.
2 Corinthians 4:3 “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.”
Precious Father in Heaven, may _______________ have Your gospel revealed to them. Shine Your light into their heart and give them the light of the knowledge of God to shine in their hearts.
Luke 5:31, 32 “Jesus answered them, ‘It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.’”
Lord God, I thank You that You came for sinners like me. Help me never to forget You loved me even though I was a sinner.
2 Corinthians 7:10 “For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.”
Father God, only You can open our eyes to the reality that all have sinned and fallen short of Your glory. Come upon _______________ with a sense of godly sorrow for his/her sin, that he/she may repent, surrender to You, and be saved. Amen.
Matthew 7:13,14 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
Dear Lord, I pray for more Deaf people to enter through the narrow gate and be saved. Amen.
We appreciated your prayers last week.
Not one sign language in the world has a complete Bible translation yet. This week, we will be praying that clear, accurate, natural, and acceptable translations will be completed for the Deaf all over the world.

We want every Deaf person to be able to understand God’s Word in their heart language!
Matthew 4:4 “Jesus answered, ‘It is written: Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every Word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
Dear Lord, Matthew 4:4 says that “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every Word that comes from the mouth of God.” I pray that Your Word will soon be translated accurately into all the sign languages of the world.
Exodus 24:3 - “When Moses went and told the people all the Lord’s words and laws, they responded with one voice, ‘Everything the Lord has said we will do.’”
Dear Heavenly Father, Your Word speaks of Moses telling Your people Your law and the people’s response that they will do everything that You have commanded. I pray for the Deaf Community and for _________ that they will desire to follow your Word their entire lives.
Hebrews 4:12 “For the Word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.”
Thank you Lord, that Your Word is alive and powerful, and that it exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Use Your Word in the Deaf community to draw their hearts to You for Your glory.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
Thank you, Lord, that Your Word is God-breathed and is good for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. Amen.
Acts 6:7 “So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.”
Dear God, spread Your Word in the Deaf community. Increase the number of Christians there. Please change hearts so that Your people in the Deaf community become more obedient to You.
Acts 12:24 “So the Word of God continued to spread and flourish.”
Father God, may Your Word continue to spread and flourish in the Deaf communities all across the world.
2 Timothy 4:2 “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction.”
Father God, may Your Word in sign language help Deaf Christians to preach the Word, to be prepared all the time, and to be able to correct, rebuke, and encourage rightly.
Can you believe we are already in week three of our Prayer Journey? This week we will be praying that Deaf people will see God's Word and know that Jesus is the source of hope. So many Deaf people are cast out of their communities, ignored, and mistreated. We want them to know there is hope and a God who loves them.

Romans 15:4 “Everything written in the past was written to teach us. The Scriptures gives us strength to go on. They encourage us and give us hope.”
Dear Father, thank that Your Word was written to encourage us and give us hope. I pray that it will teach, give hope to _______________ and help _______________ carry on.
Ephesians 1:18 “I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints."
Dear Jesus, I pray that _______________ will have their heart opened and will know the hope that You have for them, and know that loving Christ is a treasure. That they will be shown God’s power that raised You from the dead.
Psalm 52:9 “For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people. And I will hope in your name, for your name is good.”
Thank you, Lord, that we can praise you in the presence of your people because you give hope.
Acts 13:7 “The Proconsul sent for Barnabas and Saul because he wanted to hear the Word of God.”
Father God, I pray for leaders all over the world to be like that proconsul who called Your people so they could learn Your Word from them. Make us ready to share. Change the Deaf world and _______________’s life for Christ as Your Word is shared.
Acts 20:32 “The Word of His grace can build you up and give you an inheritance among the sanctified.”
Dear Lord, I pray that Your Word will work in _______________ ’s life and build them up and give them an inheritance among the sanctified. Please bless them and I pray _______________ will someday witness to those around them.
Colossians 1:24 “Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is in the church."
Thank you, Jesus, for the example of Paul who suffered for the sake of the church, so that he could share about the riches of the mystery of the gospel to the church. Thank You for Christ in people being the hope of glory. May the Gospel spread into many Deaf lives along with the lives of their families.
Ephesians 6:17 “...and the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God.”
Thank you, Jesus, that the Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit which is used to fight against lies and accusations against Your people. It can reach into hearts to convict people of Your truth. Lord, I beg you to send forth Your Word into _______________‘s life in a well understood and clear way.

This week, please pray that Deaf hearts across the world will be set free in Christ. Each one of us has our own struggles. We want to pray for healing, and the strength to hand over those struggles to God. Psalm 103:1 “Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.”
Dear Lord, I pray for _______________ ’s heart to be changed to one that desires to praise You with all of their being. Amen.
Psalm 103-2-3 “Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases; he redeems my life from the pit and crowns me with love and compassion.”
Father, being Your child has many benefits. I pray for _______________, that they will become Your child(ren) and experience Your healing in their heart(s). Redeem _______________’s heart(s) from the pit and crown _______________ with Your love and compassion.
Romans 12:2 “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good and pleasing and perfect will.”
Lord, I pray for Your children who are in the Deaf world. May our hearts not follow the world’s ways, but be changed and made new. May You show us Your will.
2 Corinthians 3:18 “And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
Thank you Lord, that You are transforming Christians to be more and more like You. I pray for _______________ to become Your child and also experience that transformation.
Ephesians 4:22-24 “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
Dear Lord, help Your people to put off the old life with its deceitful desires. Make them new in the attitude of their minds, and help them to put on the new self that is created to be like You, in true righteousness and holiness.
Matthew 18:35 “This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”
Father, You want us to be forgiving people. Help us to forgive our brothers and sisters who have offended or hurt us.
Romans 8:10 “But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.”
Father God, thank you that even though our bodies age and get older that Your Spirit in us gives us life and righteousness. I pray Your life and righteousness will grow in Your people.
We are over half way through our Journey. This week, please pray that God’s church would be strengthened. What is God’s church? It is every Christian, all around the world. Help us reach as many people as possible. Thanks for partnering alongside us.
1 Timothy 2:1 “I urge, the first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone."
Thank you Lord for Your salvation that has changed the hearts of Your people. Thank You for the people that You put in authority over us. I pray for the pastors, elders, and other leaders that You put over us. Strengthen them and give them wisdom.
Ephesians 1:7-8 “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding."
Dear God, thank You for salvation and forgiveness and wisdom and grace. Thank You also for revealing the mystery of Your salvation to Your church.
2 Peter 3:18 “Rather you must grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. All glory to him, now and forever! Amen”
Dear Lord, I pray for Your children to grow in grace and knowledge of You, and that we would give You the glory now and forevermore.
Hebrews 10:25 “And let us not give up meeting together. Some are in the habit of doing this. Instead, let us encourage one another with words of hope. Let us do this even more as you see Christ’s return approaching.”
Dear Lord, I pray for the people who are Your church. May we keep meeting together and not stop. May we encourage one another with words of hope more and more because Christ’s return is coming nearer.
Psalm 84:1-2 “Lord who rules over all, how lovely is the place where you live.”
Precious Father, I pray that we, Your church, would have hearts that always are willing to sing to You with joy! May we bless Your name in good times and hard times.
Galatians 6:1 “Brothers and sisters, what if someone is caught in a sin? Then you who live by the Spirit should correct that person. Do it in a gentle way. But be careful. You could be tempted too.”
Father God, I pray for brothers and sisters in Christ who have fallen into sin. Lord, please, strengthen Your church people to encourage them back to You with love.
Joel 2:12,13 “‘Even now,’ declares the Lord, ‘return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.’”
Dear Jesus, teach us, your church, to also return to You with fasting and weeping and mourning over our sins.
We are already beginning week six of our Prayer Journey. There are 70 million Deaf people in the world, yet only 2% have access to God’s word. This week, please pray that God would send forth workers into the field – providing the people and resources to reach the other 98%.

Dear God, I pray that Your church will love You more and more, and love others as themselves. As a result, may Your name be glorified in the church.
John 3:16 “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.”
Dear Father, Thank you for Your amazing love for the whole world. Thank you that You sent Jesus to die for sinners. I pray for _______________ that they will come to You and be saved.
John 4:35 “Don’t you have a saying? You say, ‘It’s still four months until harvest time.’ But I tell you, open your eyes! Look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest right now.”
Heavenly Father, thank You that the harvest is ready. I pray that You will send workers to bring people into Your kingdom and to teach them well.
Matthew 9:37-38 “Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is huge. But there are only a few workers. So ask the Lord of the harvest to send workers out into his harvest field.’”
Dear Jesus, thank you again for another reminder of the great harvest of souls that is out there. Please send forth workers to bring more Deaf people into Your family.
Ephesians 4:11a “So Christ himself gave the gift of the apostles to the church. He gave the prophets and those who preach the good news.”
Dear Jesus, You have given many gifts to Your church people. I pray for those whom You have especially gifted to share the good news. Send them out. May they be obedient to Your call.
2 Timothy 2:1-2 “My son, be strong in the grace that is yours in Christ Jesus. You have heard me teach in front of many witnesses. Pass on to people you can trust the things you’ve heard me say. Then they will be able to teach others also.”
Dear God, thank you for Paul’s example of teaching and passing on his skills. Lord, I pray that You will send forth more teachers into the Deaf world.
John 17:18 “You sent me into the world. In the same way, I have sent them into the world.”
Dear Father in Heaven, thank you for sending Jesus to us. Thank you that He has sent us into the world. I pray for Your people to respond to that call to go into the world. Amen.
We are in the last week of our prayer journey! We made it! Keep pushing till the very end!
This last week we ask that you pray that we, His Church, would be filled with and walk in the Spirit. God has called us to support each other, love one another, and hold each other accountable. Your prayers are so appreciated.
Ephesians 6:10 “Finally be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
Dear God, we pray for Your church that people would put on Your armor and live under its protection.
James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”
Thank you, Father, that you are the giver of all Wisdom. I pray that You will pour out wisdom onto Your church.
Colossians 1:9 “For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives."
Dear Lord, may Your church be filled with the knowledge of God’s will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding, bearing fruit for Your glory.
Matthew 5:43-45 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”
Lord, give Your church a love for their enemies and prayers for those who persecute them.
Psalm 92:12 “The righteous will grow like the Cedars of Lebanon.”
Father God, I pray for Deaf Christians around the world, that they will grow and flourish.
Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
Dear Lord, grow Your fruit in the heart of Your Deaf people and other Christians across the world.
John 17:20-26 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
Dear Father in Heaven, Jesus himself prayed for the church to live in unity. That is my prayer as well. Please unify your church and cause your name to shine. Amen.
Matthew 28:18-20 "Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All Authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything.'”
Dear Jesus, Thank you for Your words in Matthew 28:18-20. I pray that Your people would accept Your call to make disciples for You, baptizing new believers in Christ and teaching them to obey Your commandments.
